The Lightning Thief
The lightning Thief is a wonderful tale of three intrepid characters on a quest to find Zeus's master lightning bolt.  Rick Riordan does an incredible job of bringing life to Greek mythological characters and creatures.  This book has strong characters and plot.  A good read especially for fourth grade where mythology is a standard for English language arts.
